Is the application online?
Yes, the application for students is online only.
Will I be assigned a school account to log in?
During the application process through FACTS, you will be prompted to create an Application account. If student is accepted, you will be prompted during the process to create a Family Portal account. The Application account will only be used during the application process.
How do I make payments to HCA?
All payments will be made electronically through the HCA website and/or FACTS Family Portal.
What type of curriculum will students follow?
HCA will be exclusively using the Abeka Curriculum in all grades (K-12). Each elementary classroom is equipped with an Abeka curriculum kit for that grade level. High school classrooms are equipped with the appropriate kit for that grade and subject. Teachers will follow a “traditional” model of teaching.
Is HCA accredited?
HCA is a member of ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) pursuing accreditation.
What bible translation will be used at HCA?
HCA will use the New King James Version of the Bible.
Will HCA provide lunch for students?
Students will be required to bring their own lunch to school.
Will HCA provide bus transportation to and from school?
No, HCA will not run bus routes for the beginning and end of the school day.
Will HCA have a school nurse on site?
Yes, HCA will have a staff nurse who is on campus all day, each school day.
Will HCA have a guidance counselor?
Yes, HCA will have a guidance counselor on staff.
Will students be required to wear uniforms?
No, HCA students will not wear uniforms. However, there will be a dress code detailed in the student handbook.
Will there be an electronic device policy?
Yes, there will be an electronic device policy and technology usage policy detailed in the student handbook.
Will HCA have athletics?
Yes, HCA will have athletics. At first, athletics will be contingent upon student enrollment numbers, but our goal is to have multiple boys and girls athletic teams.
Will HCA have band and choir?
Yes, HCA will have band and/or choir. In the upper grades, athletic related band such as Marching Band will be contingent upon enrollment numbers in the beginning. Our goal is to have a Marching Band once football is initiated. Elementary students will all participate in music class, which will include recorders in Grades 4-5.
