Will I be assigned a school account to log in?
During the application process through FACTS, you will be prompted to create an Application account. If student is accepted, you will be prompted during the process to create a Family Portal account. The Application account will only be used during the application process.
How do I make payments to HCA?
All payments are made electronically through the HCA website and/or FACTS Family Portal.
What type of curriculum do students follow?
HCA uses the Abeka Curriculum in all grades (K-12). Each elementary classroom is equipped with an Abeka curriculum kit for that grade level. High school classrooms are equipped with the appropriate kit for that grade and subject. Teachers will follow a “traditional” model of teaching.
Is HCA accredited?
HCA is a member of ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) pursuing accreditation.
What bible translation is used at HCA?
HCA uses the New King James Version of the Bible.
Does HCA provide lunch for students?
Students are required to bring their own lunch to school.
Does HCA provide bus transportation to and from school?
No, HCA does not run bus routes for the beginning and end of the school day.
Does HCA have a school nurse on site?
Yes, HCA has a staff nurse who is on campus all day, each school day.
Does HCA have a guidance counselor?
Yes, HCA will have a guidance counselor on staff.
Are students required to wear uniforms?
No, HCA students are not required to wear uniforms. However, there is a dress code detailed in the student handbook.
Is there an electronic device policy?
Yes, there is an electronic device policy and technology usage policy detailed in the student handbook. This policy may be amended from year to year.
Does HCA have athletics?
Yes, HCA has athletics. At first, athletics will be contingent upon student enrollment numbers, but our goal is to have multiple boys and girls athletic teams.
Does HCA have band and choir?
At this time, HCA does have choir. Yes, HCA will have band in the future. In the upper grades, athletic related band such as Marching Band will be contingent upon enrollment numbers. Our goal is to have a Marching Band once football is initiated and enrollment increases. Elementary students will all participate in music class, which will include recorders in Grade 5.
