Hope Christian Academy will be a private, faith based, Christian school (K-12) located at 2005 Hinton Drive, Oxford, AL opening in August 2023. The mission of Hope Christian Academy will be to raise future generations to achieve greatness daily, by promoting growth in all aspects of the student through a Christ-centered process. At Hope Christian Academy we are interested in inspiring students to love learning and develop an intellectual curiosity about the world. Our passion is to expand their imagination, stimulate their hunger to know, and provide them with the tools to become life-long learners.
The curriculum that has been chosen will be provided through Abeka. Abeka provides academic resources (Pre-K through 12) based on Biblical values. Abeka's aim (in alignment with ours) is to grow students intellectually, morally, and spiritually. Teaching from a practical, traditional, and technological approach will develop our students intellectually. Students will be able to display personal integrity in their everyday lives and discern right from wrong. Christian curriculum and daily Bible instruction will allow students to apply Biblical truths from God’s Word to their own lives. Classroom size will remain relatively small to provide a more interactive education, as well as alleviate stress on the educators. A student to teacher ratio of 15:1 can be expected. Aside from the four core classes (Math, Science, English, Social Studies) HCA will be offering music, foreign language (Spanish), life skills, and Bible classes. We are currently in discussions with Gadsden State Community College, along with the City of Oxford to provide career tech classes at HCA. This will possibly include different trades such as welding, cosmetology, precision machining, and health science. We are a member of ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International) and are pursuing accreditation through ACSI, a leading international organization that promotes Christian education and provides training and resources to Christian schools and Christian educators.
Hope Christian Academy will be participating in sports through the independent realm. Our plan is to pursue these opportunities according to the prep schools standards. We will be offering athletic opportunities in football, basketball, and baseball male students in the junior varsity and varsity age groups, contingent upon enrollment numbers. For our female students we will be offering athletic opportunities in volleyball, basketball, softball, and cheer, contingent upon enrollment numbers.
Tuition is to be set at $5,100 a year across all grades with different payment plans, and discounts for households with multiple children. Parents will have four options in paying for their child’s education. You will be able to choose form a 10-month payment plan, 12-month payment plan, semester payment plan, or a yearly payment plan.
